How do I get my Springer proceedings?

In your delegate pack you will find a programme containing abstracts of presented papers. The proceedings will be published after the conference and a CDROM copy will be sent to you. Please ensure we have a correct postal address for you to enable us to send you your copy of the proceedings.

How do I get a receipt for my registration fee or a certificate of attendance?

The conference registration desk will provide these.

Can I get internet access at the conference?

There is a free WiFi network at the hotel. It is protected so delegates need to ask for the access details at the hotel reception desk.

What audio-visual hardware and software is provided?

In the presentation room at the conference there will be an LCD data projector and a lap-top computer running Windows (XP or Vista) with Powerpoint installed on it. An overhead projector will be available if you request it before the conference.

Is there car parking?

Car parking in Brighton is difficult! The hotel has a car-park available for the use of guests on a paid basis. Please check with the hotel about charges. There is chargeable on-street car parking and a nearby NCP car-park which we understand charges similar rates to the hotel.

How do I get to Brighton from the airport?

From London Gatwick Airport

There is a direct train service from Gatwick to Brighton station taking about 40 minutes. Times of trains can be found on the National Rail Enquiries web site.

From London Heathrow

There is a rail service from Heathrow to Paddington Station (the Heathrow Express). From Paddington Station take an underground/tube train on the Circle line to Victoria Station. Then trains run direct from Victoria to Brighton (about an hour).

A less expensive route is to take a Piccadilly line underground train from Heathrow, and change to the District line at Barrons Court heading to Victoria. Then trains run direct from Victoria to Brighton (about an hour).

Heathrow to Brighton by underground and rail takes about 2.5 hours.

From the airport to Brighton by taxi

Don't do it! A taxi from the rank at Gatwick to Brighton will cost about £40-50, perhaps more. A taxi from Heathrow might cost £100.

How do I get from Brighton Railway Station to the conference?

From Brighton Station to the Brighton Seafront Holiday Inn is about a 10 minutes taxi journey (depending on traffic). It would probably take about 20 minutes to walk.
