Submission of Papers

Papers for consideration for SEB'10 may be submitted to the General Track, as Full or Short Papers, or to an Invited Session on a specific topic.

Authors should in most cases submit to the General Track unless the submission of their paper has been requested by an Invited Session Chair.

Abstracts and full papers for the conference must be submitted through the PROSE online submission and review system accessed from the main menu as PDF documents. After review the editable source files for the paper will be requested for publication (the publication files).

Submission is a two stage process.

Stage 1: Abstract

For both Full Papers and Short Papers, an abstract of up to two pages in the form of a PDF document, summarising the content, main results and conclusions of the paper must be submitted for review by members of the Programme Committee.

The abstracts of both Full Papers and Short Papers will be included in the conference programme and given to delegates at the event.

The abstract must be formatted according to the instructions contained in the document that can be downloaded .. here ..

Stage 2: Full Paper Track

If the reviewed abstract is accepted, a Full Paper will be requested.

Full papers must be formatted according to the Springer instructions to be found ..here.. Instructions are provided for preparing the document using MS Word and LaTeX - you may use either method.

Each accepted paper will be published as a book chapter, hence authors should follow the Springer instructions as if preparing a single chapter for book.

Ignore the section in the Springer instructions entitled "Manuscript Submission to Springer", as authors will submit individual chapters and these will be assembled into a composite manuscript which the conference organisers will submit to Springer.

The guide length for papers is 10 pages in Springer format. Papers longer than 10 pages may be subject to an additional charge.

When the PDF copy of the paper has been accepted you will receive an email asking for the publication files. At this point the following files are required:-
-- A full set of word-processor files for the camera-ready paper, in MS Word or LaTeX, including all image files necessary to fully reproduce it
-- A PDF copy made from these source files, with all comments removed
-- An MS Word copy of the abstract to appear in the conference programme / digest, and
-- A completed copyright form.

The proceedings will be published after the conference.

Presentation

The papers will be scheduled for presentation either orally or by poster, depending on their attributes, author preferences and referee recommendations. Please note that poster presentations are regarded as being of equal importance and status to oral presentations.

All oral and poster papers must be presented by one of the authors who must register for the conference and pay the fee. By submitting a paper you undertake that you will attend the conference and present the paper if it is accepted. By submitting a paper you also indicate that you accept the conference Terms and Conditions, available by request or on the conference web site, and that you agree to abide by them.
